PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 30th 2006
THE EDEN PROJECT ….. A NEW GENERATION 15 years ago today London Director Graham Hubbard would have been preparing for yet another performance of Children of Eden at the Prince Edward Theatre in the West End, where he played the part of Abel. Today however he takes on a very different role, as he directs 16 year old Ryan Gover to play the very same part that he played when the show opened in London.
The musical by Stephen Schwartz and John Caird, which is freely based on the story of Genesis, is all about parenting and the only too familiar experiences both happy and sad of the lessons learnt within family life. The audience will be engaged in its powerful music and ultimate message that “the hardest part of loving ...is letting go” Victoria Hardy, who plays the role of the “Father” says “To play this demanding part is a chance in a life-time, the cast are rarely off the stage and the emotions that run throughout the 2 acts are incredible. The cast have learnt so much from Graham; it has been an absolute joy.” The show which is under the capable musical direction of the company’s very own Colin Billing opens at the Layard on Wednesday 15th February at 7.30 pm and runs until Saturday 18th including a Saturday matinee.
