A BIG LITTLE DEAL! Big Little Theatre School, one of the South’s most prestigious acting and musical theatre schools have got a great deal to be excited about this Summer! Not only are they madly rehearsing for their annual Spotlight production, but they are planning the start of their 10th anniversary celebrations commencing with a move to a new rehearsal and training venue in September 2006.
Big Little have used the facilities at Winton Boys School since they started in 1996, and have been delighted with their cooperation and support, however it is time to move on as the School plans expansion for 2006. BLTS, which now boasts over 300 pupils, is extending their class structure to include an increased number of dance lessons, group and private singing lessons and another night of drama sessions. They are also introducing a specialist class in Musical Theatre, which will include a personal development plan for students aged 14 and above who are determined to take up a full time careers in the performing arts. Visiting directors and choreographers plus experts in the technical field will be visiting the School on a regular basis to give the dedicated youngsters every possible insight and training into the business. The tenth year anniversary is a perfect platform to launch all the new ideas that the School is planning .These include extending the repertoire and performance opportunities for Vision, their cabaret ensemble, introducing new technique classes in all three elements of acting, singing and dance, an exciting programme of productions and master classes as well as their usual active programme of classes, summer schools and workshops. If you want to audition for this exciting and dynamic company they are auditioning for their 2006/2007 intake on Sunday 2nd July where they are looking for raw young talent. Girls and boys aged between 5-18years are really welcomed. Or why not experience a week with them on one of their hugely successful summer schools held in Bournemouth or Ringwood. Or just sit back and enjoy favourites such as “Lion King.” “Little Shop of Horrors” and much much more. Be quick these shows sell out.
