BLTS provides specialist training in Musical Theatre and Acting, together with regular opportunities to perform in concerts and shows. BLTS musical theatre school combines the skills of acting, singing and dancing. Students are likely to have acquired basic skills of acting, singing and dancing.

Each class is carefully structured to cater for the ability and interest of the students. Within the training sessions all students are encouraged to develop their own personal performances through the disciplines taught. All students have an opportunity to perform their work to parents at regular intervals, including major productions in main venues. Auditions for these are held within the main youth theatre for casting. Projects may take the form of concerts, musicals or an invitation to perform within the local community or at national events.

Auditions and/or progress sessions are held at the start of each project to establish areas of strength in the company and also as an opportunity for students to demonstrate the progress they have made. Everyone is encouraged to participate and a warm, friendly atmosphere is provided.
