RINGWOOD CHAMBER & BIG LITTLE ON CHRISTMAS PUB CRAWL
The Ringwood Chamber of Trade & Commerce and the Big Little Theatre choir hit the town last Friday on a mammoth pub crawl singing in most of Ringwood's pubs and restaurants to raise money for the Christmas Lights.
New, improved lights were switched on this year, but the Chamber hopes to extend the Christmas lighting so that all the town, including the market Place and Christchurch Road, is lit up. This they are doing in conjunction with Ringwood Town Council and with the help of the youngsters from Big Little.
Nearly £400 was raised that night which started off at the opening of the new Jaeger shop in the Furlong, with coffees at Caffe Nero then they all went around most of the restaurants, Plummers, Zizzis, Prezzo, Curry Garden The Old Cotttage, Marina's Bettola and then most of the pubs, the Star, Finn McCouls, The White Hart, The Crown Tap, The Inn on the Furlong and ended up at the Fish Inn several hours later.
Said Chamber Vice president Barbara Kennar "We had a brilliant evening, but next year we might start a bit later, Ringwood takes time to get going and we need to be where the people are."

BOX OFFICE OPENS FOR CHILDREN OF EDEN - VISIT THE CHILDREN OF EDEN WEBSITE

The box office has opened for Children of Eden by Stephen Schwartz and John Caird to be performed at the Layard Theatre, Canford School by members of Big Little Theatre School. Directed by Graham Hubbard, with Colin Billing as Musical Director and Lisa Lee as Choreographer.

Performances at 7.30pm on 15th,16th,17th & 18th February 2006 with a matinee at 2.30pm on 18th. All tickets £12 from Gail Pilling on 01425 480708

A project to publish a professionally recorded audio CD of the entire BLTS Youth Theatre singing songs from their Spotlight performances has been announced. Click here for more details.

VIPs come to Spotlight

Not only the Mayor and Mayoress of Bournemouth came to see Spotlight '05 - The Legends but Max Bygraves also found time in the midst of his UK tour to come as well. Afterwards he congratulated the cast on giving a tremendous performance which he thoroughly enjoyed.

The Bournemouth Daily Echo featured Big Little students as they prepared for their annual spectacular at the Pavilion, Bournemouth. was performed at the Bournemouth Pavilion on Thursday 14th, Friday 15th and Saturday 16th July.

Bournemouth Music Festival 2005

BLTS cabaret group,

, triumphs at Bournemouth Music Festival, winning the Laurie Collins cup and the Dorothy Kent cup. Finally they were awarded the title of Youth Choir of the year. Click here for full details and adjudicator's comments.

Members of BLTS joined Max Bygraves and Leah Bell to perform "Max Bygraves - Alive and Kicking" at the Bournemouth Pavilion on 30th June.

Members of joined Max Bygraves for a publicity photoshoot ahead of his show at the Bournemouth Pavilion. VISION will perform with Max in his show and have the honour of opening the show with a 15 minute extract from Spotlight '05 - The Legends.

Broadband users may view a 9-minute video of the session, whereas dial-up users can view a selection of stills from the photoshoot.

For the third year, students from the Big Little Theatre School were asked to appear with Max Bygraves when he returned to the UK to give a special concert at the Pavilion Bournemouth on 29th June.

This year BLTS opened the show and gave a 15 minute preview of their Spotlight '05 - The Legends show performed in July.

Box office opens for Spotlight '05 - The Legends.
Spotlight '05 - The Legends will be performed at the Bournemouth Pavilion on Thursday 14th, Friday 15th and Saturday 16th July at 7.30pm. Seats are available in the Balcony and Stalls for all performances. BLTS students and parents of BLTS students may purchase discounted tickets for £11 from Gail at any class or on 01425 480708.
