The Big Little School of Dance launched at our open day last month starts classes week commencing January 7th.

At this first stage of development (Phase 1) the school will be offering classes in Ballet (RAD syllabus) and Tap and Modern (ISTD new syllabus). The grades taught will start at pre-primary (RAD) and go through to Grade 6/Intermediate. A waiting list for higher grades is being compiled and classes for these will start in the near future.

Although the school of dance is focussing primarily on graded examination classes, free dance and performance will be integrated into the curriculum. Opportunities for further performance through dance is offered within the framework of BLTS classes and youth theatres. This also includes production opportunities. Teachers with the School of Dance are fully qualified and acclaimed. Zoe Mather is Head of Dance and she will be teaching Tap and Modern as well as developing the School of Dance. She will be joined by Jo Dilly who will be teaching ballet.
