BLTS - Can't Stop The Beat


photos above by Roger Sansom	Introduction: Welcome to our fourth Spotlight production at the wonderful Pavilion Theatre. This winning formula of a production has been a clear success for our school and obviously you, our audience, as this year we perform to record numbers. We are delighted to be presenting "Can't Stop the Beat!" with our cast of 120 students aged 8 - 19 years.
	The Company: Directed and choreographed by Chrissy Wickham and with Musical Director Colin Billing. More than 120 of our students appeared in this, the fourth Spotlight production.
	The Music: Sixteen musical numbers, including many medleys from well-known shows were accompanied by a twelve-piece band under the direction of Colin Billing. Dance numbers were more prominent this year with extremely challenging choreography
	Reviews and audience comment: Linda Kirkman from the Daily Echo said: "Is there no limit to what the pupils of this school can achieve? Each year the company's annual showcase strives to reach an even higher level - and it attains it every time. This year's show was the most challenging yet, with complex dance routines and difficult vocal numbers. That Big Little secret has worked its magic again."
