Introduction: In celebrating our 10th anniversary, we have returned to our roots of classic musical theatre. With the exception of the opening number our entire Spotlight 7 programme features a selection of musical theatre numbers old and new. The title song – ‘Music Was My First Love’ – signifies all that BLTS youth theatre represents; music to sing and act to, music to dance to, music to be inspired by.
The Company: Choreographed by Lisa Lee and with Musical Director Marcus Marriott and Musical Supervisor Colling Billing. More than 160 of our students appeared in this, the seventh Spotlight production.
The Music: Selections from sixteen musical show were accompanied by a twelve-piece band under the direction of Colin Billing.
